In the late 50's the Milwaukee Road used to run these FM's west every morning on train 63.....I'd ride my bike down to the village of Wauwatosa to watch the train......you could always tell when the train passed Hawley Road which was the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa city line as the sky would turn a smoky blue.....those four FM's would thunder by with sanders on with white clouds of dust and the smoky exhausts from those Beloit FM's....Remember this was Wisconsin's own RR with Wisconsin's own locomotives!!It was great to be a cheese head back then and I didn't even know I was one!!
