this is just East(on expressway) South East geographically from an excellent place to see trains. Niclkajack Lake has an excellent rest areas on I-24 in both directions. The eastbound one also gives the excellent place to watch trains on this very line.

As a retired long distance truck driver, I have passed under this bridge hundreds and hundreds of time. Sometimes you would catch a train crossing it and other times not. This location is just south a mile or so from Nickajack Lake. The CSX tracks follow along the southern shore of the lake. If you are driving South on I-24 and look across the lake, you can sporadically see the tracks and sometimes a train especially when you are on the bridge just south of the rest area.
