The power they have traditionally run on this subdivision has always been fascinating. I moved away from there in 1995 just before the BNSF merger. BN always used old power on these locals, so back then there were GP9's, GP30's & 35's (which by then were modified to GP39m) along with GP38's & GP40's. It was great to watch and there was decent traffic on the line. I believe there were at least one to 3 trains a day on the line and there was a fairly busy yard up in Kettle Falls as well to assemble trains to Spokane and dispatch locals north. That was always such an interesting operation. Wish I could have seen more but so goad to witness what I got to see.
