Such a shame the NYC had as many locomotives as any railroad, yet saved less than a handful. Not a single Niagara. Not a single Hudson. They invented the Hudson! Shameful.

At least we have 2 Mohawks (this one and 3001) left in existence. Too bad not a single Hudson or Niagara made it.

It's been since the mid-eighties when I last walked through that museum. This engine was rather sad looking then, but she sure does look good in your photo. I'll have to stop by there when I retire in a few years to check up on her.

Nice photo with great exposure. Taking photos of black locomotives is not easy without under or over exposing them.
