What the heck is that "bump" in the rail on the side track in the foreground?! Looks like a derailment waiting to happen. Is that actually there or is it the result of some digital cloning to get rid of something? Looks suspicious since the rail clips are higher in the same spot, when there is no reason for the ties to be at different heights.

That is called an "up and over", the cars go over the main rail instead of going through a frog. Saves money and cuts the need of maintenance by a lot.
