Hello I was wondering how you are always able to catch intermodals on the harbor sub even though they are rare and come randomly. You are always able to catch them and I was wondering how you are able to know if they are coming. I have been trying to see them for so long and I have not been able to. If you could help me out that would be great. And if you want anything in return for your info I will do so.

The best way to find out is to listen to the Harbor Sub & Watson radio channels. I’ve also gotten advanced heads ups listening to the Alameda Corridor dispatcher (UP DS248) and PHL since these trains usually come off one territory or another. On this particular day Watson Yard told the 2nd Watson local that these guys would follow them to Alcoa (Torrance).
