The move was SONGS Unit 1 reactor. It’s been in long term storage at San Onofre plant for years. Southern California Edison (SCE), is Decommissioning the entire plant. There were three units, unit one was decommissioned well over 15 years ago. The reactor was stored in a cask in a parking lot in a secure lot. Unit one was a small low lever power unit, mainly an experimental unit. Was discontinued when unit 2 and 3 were brought on line. I was a startup engineer for Bechtel Power, and worked on site.
