Just how fast was the switcher moving? That kind of damage seems severe for a yard.

How fast they going? A safe coupling speed is 3-4 MPH !! That loco is pretty beat up.

It is not the speed that kills, it is the sudden stop, and probably depending on where the operator was standing in relation to the accident, could have still been shoving before shutting down?

Looks like CP has been taking up its predecessor's practices of the 1970's, The Milwaukee Road. Just seems like something that would have happened in the days when The Milwaukee ran this yard. In all seriousness, maybe they need to look into the safety of using remote control trains. This looks quite serious for a yard accident.

Meh! A little Duct Tape and Bond-O, some "elbow grease" and paint, that'll buff right out and that locomotive will be good as new! LOL!
