Those were the days. I wish I could have seen those two run together. It's amazing to watch the old videos of these engines charging down the mainline at track speed....knowing that just a couple of years later, they were both stuffed and mounted. I got to see 1223 run only once, just briefly back in '72. Never got to see the 7002 under steam. Both are beautiful locomotives.

Thanks for your comments. Hopefully, we will again see PRR steam on the mainline at some point in the near future.
