Is the connector still used?

I had a visit to Duplainville in October and the connector is mostly removed. CN-CP can no longer do interchange here.

I remember when the connector was installed and seeing the Wisconsin Central use it for its Fond Du Lac-Milwaukee turns whereas back in Soo Line days, trains used the Rugby Junction connection to get to Milwaukee. After the Soo Line purchased the the Milwaukee Road, there was even talk of routing Soo Line's Eastern Division Chicago bound trains through Milwaukee with a gradual downgrade of the main line south of Waukesha. My memory is sketchy, but I think this may have been during the time that the Soo Line had the short-lived Lake States Transportation Division.
