Wow...she certainly looked a lot better in 1989 as compared to some of the more recent photos of the 6755 from other RP contributors. In addition to your nice write up above, the M1b was also different from her M1 sisters due to the addition of a second air compressor and she also has internal steam delivery pipes going to her cylinders (the PRR eliminated the external steam delivery pipes to the cylinders on the M1b by casting the steam openings to the cylinders as part of the frame).

Thanks for posting this. I've seen the M1b a couple of times at the museum but never looking this good. K4s 3750, another exhibit, is an old friend that I saw once in South Amboy when i first started shooting 35mm.

Thanks for your comments. I hope that the RR Museum of PA can get the new roundhouse section built soon so the 6755 can be restored again and placed inside. Jeff- it must have been something to see an M1 westbound in the Juniata Valley. Bob- I hope that we get to see the 1361 operate again, perhaps pulling 7 or 8 cars at mainline track speed as it used to do on the NY&LB.
