Fascinating...Google Maps Satellite shows this unit tucked into a consist of commuter cars, which based upon your photo, would indicate there is some shuffling going on there for whatever reason. Maybe not just abandoned, but perhaps stored, and if so, why? Also, additional units can be seen just north of this photo, one just south of the diamond, and two others to the left of the diamond, including another E-unit. More questions than answers here. Is it possible for you to elaborate? Industrial trackage has always been a mysterious entity to me, no doubt built with reasonable expectations for future business but sometimes appearing as tracks to nowhere, and often looking entirely disused. I've even seen sections that are truncated with landlocked rolling stock awaiting an uncertain future. I suppose as businesses come and go, this is bound to happen. Rusty rails always have a past.
