Craig, this was always part of the Scranton Division of the DL&W main line. The Bangor and Portland Division was a series of branch lines that connected with the main line at Portland, 78 track miles east of here.

Thanks, Doug, for setting a westerner right on this. The source I used was a bit confusing, and never mentioned the Scranton Division!

No problem, Craig. I usually consult employee timetables for this type of info. Since my ETT collection is hopelessly jumbled and in storage from a recent move, I looked online and couldn't find one for the DL&W, and the info that I did find didn't have the needed info. I do have my books unpacked, and verified that it was the Scranton Division in a long out-of-print DL&W history. Having grown up less than a half-mile from the Bangor & Portland, I was sure that Factoryville was not part of the B&P.
