The unit does run! The museum used it to switch their equipment into the museum grounds when it was delivered.

This unit was first displayed by the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society (basically the same entity)when they were at the Spokane Fairgrounds way back in 1986 or 1987. It had just been restored. It ran then and they started it up for the crowd one evening. It was used to transport the equipment to their new site here at Reardan. They have plans to use the engine to run excursions when they get all the equipment in operating order. They have a nice old Milwaukee Road ribside bay window caboose that was donated by St. Maries RR way back in the early 1990's when they acquired a surplus wide vision caboose from BN. I also spy a couple of old Milwaukee Road Woodworth switch stands in the background.
