I rode behind SP 1744 in 2001, when it pulled the Big Easy Steam Train. When it was for sale locally, $800,000 asking price, I was thinking if I'd won the lottery .... But the rumor was always that it had serious issues and would be a real money pit to make right. I like this little loco, and hope somebody makes it happen.
