Top of the line time. The Milwaukee Road looking great at Red Wing. Wonder what kind of loco their using at Red Wing these days. Great catch Bill. That old timer is probably still wandering the rails out west. Does anybody have any info on ole MILW 262 after St. Maries service or is it still there working ?

St Marie's RR is still the same as far as power is concerned. They halted log operations I think late 2009 as Potlatch sold the railroad to another carrier. They only haul lumber from the mills to Plummer, ID now to change with Union Pacific. Every last one of the unique Milwaukee Road built log cars was scrapped except maybe one or 2 that private parties could scrape together a couple thousand dollars each to save from the torch. Last I heard any cars saved were at the museum in Potlatch, ID.
