Nice shot. This is on the northWEST extremities of the NOLA region, not northeast. Locals, in the French tradition, more often call it Pass Manchac, i.e., switching the word order. Also, trains from here crossing the spillway go into Kenner (and typically shortly thereafter to IC's Mays Yard). Geismar is back up the river, and I think on the former Yazoo & Mississippi Valley (which has its own bridge over the spillway, a couple of miles to the southwest of the one from here into Kenner). I think there is track that would allow a train to head from this line in Kenner to the other line toward Geismar without going as far as Mays.
