From what I can see on Googlemaps, it looks like the line abandoned line beyond the train is back in use. I can see strings of cars from a road that looks abandoned beyond that bridge

That was the old Reading main line which connected to the CNJ in Bound Brook, its partner and fellow B&O "proxy" road for B&O's effort to capture some NYC area business. Now I think it's used as part of a spur track for a waste loading facility nearby, but the diamond was not restored.
