What you are seeing is not the MP blue paint showing through, you are seeing this was one of the units repainted in UP yellow colors, but with "Missouri Pacific" spelled out on the long hood... several were done like this. Early UP and some WP repaints were done like this. Also I think the entire order of MP C36-7's were delivered this way.
As delivered, there was no writing on the long hood, just the unit number in white font. Buzzaaw logo below the cab window
