what type of lens did you use for this shot? I've tried and had no luck with mine.

This was taken with a Nikkor 18-300 zoom, set to 21mm (31mm in 35mm), at ISO 100 it was exposed for 20 seconds at f/3.8 (on a tripod, of course). While the shutter was open, I illuminated the engines with a battery-powered shop light, as this area was pretty dark otherwise.
