Speed limit on Lynndyl Sub was 79 passenger/70 freight. There was always some "wiggle-room" about speeds, however. This may have been an Old Timer's Special enroute Vegas. Pure class!

They didn't keep their E units for the same reason that none of the other railroads did... they didn't need them and it was a waste of money to maintain a fleet of equipment that they might use a handful of times a year. SCL had more E units than any other railroad (100) except Penn Central, and sold or scrapped every single one of them.
