I could be wrong, but this (based on the remnants of paint scheme) looks to have spent a good portion of its life with one of the railroads that interchanged with the Columbus and Greenville. I seem to recall CAGY sold or transferred a number of CF7's, with a similar red and yellow paint scheme to an affiliate railroad after the bridge washed out on the Columbus and Greenville, and bisected the railroad.

EMD just built the best products, and they were so easy to maintain and rebuild. 72 years old and still earning more revenue......

The red paint scheme comes from the Florida Central RR. 56 served there for many years, and did not work in Mississippi prior to coming to the Marshall Durbin mill in Waynesboro.

This one spent some time on the Pioneer Valley Railroad as 2565 prior to being transferred to Florida Central.
