Nice photo. Hopefully, this scene will get replayed sometime in the not to distant future after the K4s gets put back together.

Note the Bellfonte RHS's RDC tucked in behind the tender. I recall hearing this trip actually did some damage to that unit, as it wasn't meant to be pulled in a normal train like this.

If I remember correctly, the RDC was added to the consist several miles outside of Altoona and then taken to Bellefonte. For a fee, riders could have a return trip to Bellefonte on the RDC after the K4s dropped it off at the Altoona boarding area.

Bellefonte Historical Railroad RDC1 9167 was coupled in behind the tender at Vail, just a short distance northeast of Tyrone. That was the end of NBER track where its interchange with Conrail took place and where the majority of passengers boarded. I understand any passengers that boarded at Altoona had Conrail connections (invitation or otherwise) in some way. On the return to Altoona, at Vail those passengers riding only over NBER got off, the RDC now at the rear of the train for the return move was uncoupled and made an actual RDC run back to Bellefonte. Photo https://www.railpictures.net/photo/141298/ shows the RDC upon its arrival back at the Bellefonte station.
