That engine looks Great - back on original Southern Railway. However, in my opinion, the 2 open air gondolas look out of place! What would have been great would have been about 3 stainless coaches.
Still, an excellent picture.

Agreed, those open airs are for overflow and extra trains.

I got all nostalgic while riding the GSMR and looking at pictures in the guidebook of the Southern high hoods on the line. I visit the NCTM regularly and have ridden in the 2601; I would LOVE to have seen it in action on the Murphy Branch!
