This is the first of 3 daily trains. The boxcar carries rafts for guided trips on the Animas River. The rafts take out up river from a former hydroelectric plant and then are picked up at the end of the day for return to Durango. The second train is normally steam to Silverton. The third train is normally steam, the Durango to Cascades Canyon turn.
