Being my second employer (following PRR), I've always had a soft spot for Penn-Central; there were many who struggled to make it work against ultimately insurmountable odds. The combination of an ex-Pennsy FP7 with the NYC FB2 is so much delightful nostalgia for those years - of interlocking towers, jointed rail, friction bearings, the seemingly random logic of codeline poles, a diamond pumping mud...yeah, nice shot.
