These signals would probably last for another hundred years ifn they just changed the bulbs and painted it silver. It's tall enough for o/h loads and taller then the bridge down yonder. I wonder how long this has stood and how many trains have passed under it. Hmmmmmmmm curious and when was this line built ?

I think this part of the line, which is the old Southern main from DC to Atlanta and New Orleans, was originally built in the 1850s by the North Carolina Railroad, a Southern Railway predecessor.
