Unlike many H-24-66's this unit has a standard-level front end platform with additional steps up to the cab. This made it easier to cross over to adjacent units and for crews to handle their grips when boarding and deboarding. Wabash's units were repowered with Alco engines by the time they were conveyed to NW.

I agree, fantastic! Please post more of the FMs from Wabash if you can. I moved to Decatur after they were sent to NW, so this is like a dream for me.
