Interesting information about the locomotive. There sure is a lot of graffiti and rubbish in this area. Even the sides of the rails have graffiti on them.

haha yeah "the Golden State" is really no more. This scene is unfortunately the way it is in the major cities. Mile after mile of homelessness, trash and graffiti. Just search on YouTube "Los Angeles homeless" and you'll have hours of video to watch... Very sad what they've let such a beautiful place become.

Although not exactly a "Golden State" photo you would see in a brochure, I'm sure every major city has a blighted industrial area that looks similar. If you must go, be sure to keep your car doors locked.
