Looks like the orange bits along bottom edge of turntable are wheel stops to prevent locos coming out of roundhouse stalls from running off the turntable track.

Yes, this is right. Those little "buffers" have always been there, but now they're repainted orange, probably to make tripping over them more of a deterrent. See photo https://www.railpictures.net/photo/742584/
