This photo reminds me of the early Amtrak (TM) era where you could see almost anything from any railroad. I remember one run of "The George Washington" on the C&O near Huntington, WV in late 1971. That train had at least one Penn Central E-unit and passenger cars from BN, UP, and who knows the others. Let's hope these engines remain in good condition for a long time.

The silver IC E-units are among my favorites - even including classic-era E's. It's a shame this scheme will eventually be removed or covered up.
