Well done and thanks for sharing with all of us. When I was a youngun mom and sister and little brother would catch a UP CITY OF DENVER down to Ontario and grandpa and grandma would meet us and we would drive them bout half crazy and visit with all our cousins and go to the fourth of july rodeo. Riding the train was so much fun and the domeliner views were so cool. Shure wish these still ran for the public. Thx,Craig.

Interesting. Around this time UP seems to have favored an MW shade of green for signal structures, their water tank cars, etc. WP used it as well. And there's a UP shield affixed to the signal bridge - from the age of neon, no doubt. Front and center, though, it's a real passenger train as were once fielded by private corporations with style. Nothing to compare nowadays.

Well ... it could go either way!

That green signal bridge? Yes, at this time, one could always tell you were next to UP tracks thanks to that green on lineside signals and other ephemera. (Western Pacific did the same at this time, too, but used a lighter shade of green.)
