Supposedly ICG changed from the orange/white because it looked bad when dirty. I don't think any livery would look "good" as dirty as the first engine is, and I never thought the gray/orange looked good dirty (as here) *or* clean. "Good" in quotes because there's something artistic about the colors of this picture overall, even if it's not flattering to the engine.
