The Soo Line freight car shop in North Fond du Lac, WI is a busy place in May of 1985. It was fairly easy to get permission to wander thru the shop in Soo Line (and WC)days.

It's kind of like pressing Athearn wheels onto an axle, but these are a LOT heavier and need a lot more force. A shop employee attaches brand new Amfleet wheels to an axle to make a wheel set.
