The Chicago-bound Lakeshore Limited chugs along the Hudson river as it approaches the Bear Mountain Bridge. On the near side of the river, CSX train Q409 rolls south over Popolopen Creek.

A southbound local working CSX's River Line pops out of the Fort Montgomery tunnel and onto the Popolopen Creek trestle in the late afternoon. Another GP38-2, # 2731, is bringing up the rear.
