MRL327 descends Mullan Pass below Austin on an Early October morning. MRL 327 started life as an SP locomotive, so this mountain warrior is no stranger to steep mountain grades.

Rear engine helper Santa Fe 3406 helps a westbound down the 3% grade south track at Cajon Summit while a very dirty looking Santa Fe 5712 roars past with an eastbound intermodal hotshot.
