After servicing at Troy, MT, #4449 and its train continue along the Kootenai River and will soon cross the state line into Idaho.

SP 4449 parallels the Pend Oreille River on its way toward Troy, and subsequently Whitefish, as it passes underneath Hwy. 2, the first easily accessible shot since Bonners Ferry.
