The Dôle - Vallorbe line was built for double track. Most of it was single tracked when the line was electrified in 1958 and a centralised traffic control system was installed.
With a manned helper (BB 27034) shoving on the rear, this Lausanne bound loaded grain train climbs the hill toward the Mont d'Or tunnel leading to Switzerland.
