"Why I rose before the sun on our Florida family beach vacation."
With a palm tree, boat and channel marker in a tidal estuary with an FEC train passing by, this photo is how I like to picture Florida.
Matching SD70s in FailAmerica paint look good crossing Turkey Creek as "Buddy" watches on.
The lesser photographed side of the Turkey Creek bridge, and my favorite by far.
#109 is on the move after a near-two hour delay. Train #336 pulled a drawbar & broke a knuckle on the main, fourth to last car before clearing the switches.
Southbound to Miami. #109 almost never saw the first batch of SD70's, but 2009 has already seen them all in rotation on this train.
FEC 103 and 102 lead train 208 northbound across Turkey Creek. this is FEC 103's first time leading on the FEC.
Fec 125 goes by the Palm Bay Marina on it's way to points south.
Northbound over Turkey Creek as the sun comes up.
