Built for L&N the to SBD and now in classic "stealth", if there is such a thing, this is the miscast yard switcher on that day.

Another grizzled old veteran, by this date probably serving on a work train.

A former SCL unit appears to be the yard switcher on this date. By this point the switcher usually was a 6-axle.

Reduced to being a lowly yard switcher this GE is idling out front of the old Clinchfield HQ. Somewhere there's on the site there's a shot of the unit in stealth scheme.

A southbound unit coal train revs up and begins its southbound journey off the Rock Creek Lead which bypasses the yard on the west side.

A BNSF Ace is a nice surprise on this southbound Cincinnati to Rocky Mount Q653. Slowly traffic is returning to the former Clinchfield mainline.

The yard at Erwin has a distinct vertical curve about the middle. Here a southbound unit coal train makes that evident. To the right is one of the new remote control switches.
