Returning to Roanoke with the third and final Radford excursion of 2015, I caught this pan shot of 611 across a field.

As darkness falls over the City of Greensboro, the Norfolk & Western J Class 611 returns to the Greensboro Amtrak Station after the first day of the "Roanoker" excursion.

Continuing southbound on the Danville District, NS excursion train 958 with the Norfolk & Western 611 in charge crawls by the small community of Dry Fork under a 25 mph speed restriction.

The Queen of Steam is right on schedule as she steams past a local cemetery and continues southbound toward Greensboro during the Roanoker excursions.
