An Empire Service train approaches the temporary station stop at the New York State Fairgrounds. Photo taken from the grandstand, which is soon to be demolished and not replaced.

The date is just a guess, but this was back at the East Syracuse depot, in the days when Roadrailers were a common sight on the rear of most Amtrak long distance trains.

Conrail C40-8W #6150 and SD50 #6800 westbound at East Syracuse, New York.

This is either an Empire Service train or the Maple Leaf at the station that was located in East Syracuse. Guessing at the date.

The daily Q393 rumbles on west under the NYC era signal bridge. Scenes like this are becoming harder and harder to get as CSX upgrades signals across the line.
