Built by the CB&Q shops at West Burlington, IA in September 1940 as one of the last class of steam locomotives on the Burlington.

CB&Q steam excursion pauses on the Illinois Central passenger main (the "hack" line) at Dubuque. Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, this beautiful engine was scrapped around 1969.

I found a Motel between Cicero and Naperville across from the tracks. I took many shots but, only three were worth showing.

The thirsty horse gets a drink. Notice the father and son railfan team. This water spout was in many 60's shots of "Q" fan trips. It was a classic CalScale brass casting.
