I have no idea what those people down there were doing. The SD7 however was ex-CB&Q 309. The dinkey is inbound just minutes from leaving Aurora has a generator car on the rear.
A trio of Union Pacific SD7s and SD40-2s await an assignment at UP North Yard in Salt Lake City. It appears there must have been a big rain shower earlier in the day.
The HRT can really be a museum unto itself. These two items are at the shop in Airline, but locked behind lengthy cuts of storage cars leading to the mainline.

Two of SP's venerable SD7's, although forty years old, were still at work for their original owner at the East end of the Roseville yard.
Waiting for the Portage Opr to get us the signal I jumped off(I could still jump then)to get a quick shot as an SD in the lead on the mainline was highly unusual.
