BNSF continued to provide good leaders throughout the day, this time on an unexpected rock train in the form of yet another good ol' BN SD40-2, and, of course, CB&Q signals.
A BNSF Z with 2 patched Warbonnets with Santa Fe lettering still on the engines rumble past me in Lisle.

4982 heads east on Main 3, where this track track slpits off a little from the other 2 tracks, because of the split bridge in Lisle, which is because there used to be a middle platform here!
Amtrak #5 screams around the Lisle curve as an eastbound coal drag roars past on main 3.
A pair of Geeps today on the local, heading east across the DuPage River to drop off their hopper at Pepperidge Farm in Downers Grove.
A seemingly endless train of coal disappears into the fog in the early morning light.
