EJ&E SD38-2s 671 and 670 hold with a westbound manifest near West Bridge Junction.

EJ&E SD38-2s 656 and 661 lead JSW3 west. 656 was the first engine to recieve the chevron paint scheme.

EJ&E SD38-2s 675 and 663 are in notch 8 as they head through Joliet with USX West. Nothing like hearing a pair of EJ&E SD38-2s at full throttle.

EJ&E NW2 450 and slug T-2 switch the yard in Joliet. 450, which is still in its Lake Terminal Railroad paint, is the oldest engine on the EJ&E's current roster. It was built in 1949.

EJ&E SD38-2s 671, 664, and 669 are literally walking in a winter wonderland, just like the song says at the rate of speed they are going as they depart Joliet Yard.

EJ&E SD38-2 657 looks pretty good in its somewhat new paint job as it prepares to depart Joliet with train 21, a manifest bound for Waukegan Yard.

EJ&E caboose 531 is at the back of a local heading back into the EJ&E yard after switching customers nearby. The train was led by 2 SW1200s.

EJ&E SD38-2s 665 and 660 hold westbound in Joliet with a westbound manifest. 665 has long been my favorite EJ&E SD38-2.

EJ&E SD38-2 #662, one of 4 remaining engines with the J-Ball on the front, throttles up as it comes onto the single track mainline at Turner along with 2 other SD38-2s for a quick run to Eola.
