Having finished their work in Bozeman, the Livingston Local is blasting off back to their namesake in a classic Montana snow squall.

With white out conditions on and off, slowly but the Livingston Local is surely moving up the grade as they ascend the steep grade between West End and Muir. They will summit in a few minutes.

A great chase with great friends, I couldn't tell you where this is but one of the few times I got to shoot the BN SD60M's, some of my favorite units.

Classic Montana scene. Day Gas rolls through a local farmers field as the sprinklers keep the crops refreshed and some cows look very uninterested.

Luckily these classic signal bridges still populate the west end of the railroad... for now. Night Gas heads into Plains to meet two.

Evaro Hill is truly a sight to behold. The trains wind through numerous S curves and the 2.2% grade means the sound echoes through the hills. Would be interesting to have a house here for sure!
