Leaving Albany for New York; bridge was removed when station relocated to Rensselaer.

This was either the first or second picture on the first roll of film I shot as a rail photographer.

I rode this Empire Service westbound from Albany to shoot around Dewitt Yard. It is the highest number E7 on the NYC.

The observation car Hickory Creek brings up the rear of New York Central's renowned 20th CENTURY LIMITED as it pauses in Englewood. Passengers are already being served their drinks in the lounge.

New York Central's last E8 unit is paired with another, black one on the front of the combined PACEMAKER-NEW ENGLAND STATES as it slows for Englewood station.

New York Central E7 A-B units exit Breakneck Tunnel with THE PACEMAKER from Chicago. The four track mainline along the Hudson River has recently become double-tracked.

When RS3's were not available, the big E units were assigned to commuter trains. This E7 seems to be leaking. I hope the crew makes it to Framingham before they run out.
