NS 23K is seen holding the main for a northbound train in Delanson New York. The train has some bright power compared to the normal NS black and white, as it's power by UP 7705 in the lead.

The Wabash heritage unit leads the 23K west through Fitchburg. It was hard to find a spot this day where one of the plethora of rude Massachusetts railfans didn't pop up into your shot.

While waiting for NS 22k to come through with the 8105 Interstate heritage unit, we see 23K moving through, with a conisist of 2 dash 9s, and an SD-70 ACE

A pleasant change from the usual mundane NS ponies, a trio of BNSF locomotives lead the 23K westward through Shirley.

The 23K has an extra Canadian visitor tucked in it's consist as it leans into the curve at Shirley.

For the second time in a week, the 23K featured the ex-Indiana Railroad SD90MAC, making it a popular tourist attraction in Massachusetts on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

The 23K awaits its departure west, with a foreign visitor in tow. Today one couldn't throw a stone without hitting another railfan in Ayer.

I was finally able to catch the 23K in decent sunlight, after a long Seattle-like stretch of weather in Massachusetts. There was a gentleman behind me who had much the same idea as I did this day.
