The IRM Snowflake Charter has gone as far south as possible on the CTA "L" system. Make that 9930 south and 0130 east in the 98th ST yard of the Red line.
This pickup system was first developed in the 1890s and the CTA still uses it today and still uses the open 600 volt third rail. This trolley block is underneath the two Historic Cars, 4271-4272.
